The Executive Producer / Head of Production oversees how creative work is produced across the organization, ensuring high-quality execution, efficient workflows, and scalable delivery across video, photography, and post-production. This role owns production excellence from planning through final delivery, balancing creative ambition with feasibility, craft, and operational rigor.
This role is also responsible for driving the thoughtful adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve production and post-production efficiency, quality, and consistency without compromising creative intent, brand standards, or ethical practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Production Leadership & Execution Excellence (25%)
Oversee production execution across all formats, ensuring strong craft, storytelling clarity, technical excellence, accessibility, and consistency. Establish clear production standards that protect creative intent and brand quality.
Production Planning, Resourcing & Delivery (25%)
Lead production planning, schedules, and resourcing across projects. Balance in-house teams, external partners, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities tooptimizetimelines, budgets, and delivery without sacrificing quality.
Post-Production, Finishing & AI-Enabled Optimization (25%)
Set standards for editorial workflows, finishing, accessibility, and delivery. Evaluate, implement, and govern the use of AI-assisted tools (e.g., transcription, rough assembly, audio cleanup, versioning, localization, asset management) to streamline post-production and reduce friction whilemaintainingcreative and ethical standards.
Team Leadership & Capability Building (15%)
Lead and develop production and editorial teams, building fluency in evolving tools,best storytelling practices,workflows, and AI-assisted production practices. Ensure teams are trained, supported, and aligned to new efficiencies without increasing burnout or eroding craft.
Creative Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)
Partner withcreativedirectors,design leadership, andcreativeoperations to support integrated planning and execution.Provideproduction guidance on feasibility, scope, and delivery, including recommendations where AI-enabled workflows can improve speed or quality.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
15+ years of progressive experience in production leadership within agency, media, broadcast, or in-house creative environments.
Demonstrated experience overseeing end-to-end production across multiple mediums, including video, photography, and post-production.
Proven success leading complex, high-visibility productions across a range of formats (brand campaigns, long-form, short-form, social, DRTV, testimonial, and content at scale).
Significant experiencemanaging production teams and leaders, includingdirectors,producers, editors, technical staff, and external partners.
Strongtrack recordof budget ownership, production forecasting, vendor negotiation, and cost management.
Experience building and scaling in-house production capabilities while effectivelyleveragingexternal agencies, production houses, and freelancers.
Demonstrated ability to partner with senior creative leadership to translate creative direction into executable, high-quality production plans.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately20% travelrequiredforshoots,leadership meetings, and creative team meetings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is primarily performed in a typical office environment.
Frequent sitting and computer use; occasional standing, walking, orlifting upto 15pounds.
The starting rate is $150,000 to $170,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
