At the American Cancer Society, our employees are the soul of our lifesaving mission to save lives and celebrate life, every single day. Our career opportunities are as diverse as our people and include every discipline found in other business enterprises. What sets us apart is that the work we do has global impact – and every passionate, dedicated American Cancer Society staff member contributes to each groundbreaking achievement we make.
Individually, we are different people performing different actions. Collectively, we are a united force with the power to free the world from the pain and suffering of cancer. And it’s working.
Who We Are
What Sets Us Apart
We are as dedicated to our staff as we are to our mission. Part of that dedication includes providing our staff members with competitive benefit options to promote good health, financial security, work life balance, and peace of mind.
At the heart of our commitment to diversity and inclusion is the belief that we can better position ourselves to save lives every day by attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse staff unified in their dedication to the cause of saving lives from cancer.
We seek out and celebrate employees from different cultures, experiences, and geographies, with a variety of styles and viewpoints, to provide greater insight into our programs and services. The greater the diversity of our people, the better we can serve our communities. That is how we define success.
As an American Cancer Society volunteer you can honor a survivor or a loved one lost to cancer, help people in your local community, and join the fight to end cancer. Your unique talents will make a real difference, and you can choose from volunteer positions that match your interests, offer flexible scheduling, and allow you to learn new skills. Join us and discover how rewarding it is to be an American Cancer Society volunteer.
It only takes a little time to do a lot of good. Make a difference today!
We fight cancer. Passionately. Intelligently. Consistently. Ferociously. All of us. Each with our own jobs, skills, and talents doing all we can. We are all activists against cancer. And when we work as one, we charge at cancer from multiple fronts, breaking it down bit by bit with our compassion, our commitment, and our courage, until we stand victorious.
Together, we’re attacking cancer from every angle.
