As a Specialist in Organizational Performance in the Enterprise Strategy department, you will drive strategic plan success and execute on high priority, high visibility performance processes for the organization. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on our vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the enterprise. You will be challenged to excel and lead alongside the brightest talent in the nonprofit health space. Duties include developing and managing enterprise performance data aligned to strategy, cascading key performance indicators to all functions, data monitoring and reporting, and exploring innovative approaches to meaningful performance data review on an enterprise cadence.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update enterprise performance scorecard, interacting with key stakeholders to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and data definitions.
  • Work cross-functionally to cascade KPIs to functions, advising on how to build scorecards connected to the enterprise scorecard.
  • Manage and facilitate monthly / quarterly / annual monitoring and reporting cadences and performance products, such as dashboards and reports to various audiences including the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve an enterprise performance review cycle of meaningful reports, meetings, and decision-making moments (e.g quarterly business reviews).
  • Partner cross-functionally to synthesize organizational performance data for external contexts, such as marketing and communications efforts or non-profit reporting. Manage relationships with non-profit rating/research organizations where ACS data is reported.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional communities of practice or working groups related to data and performance.
  • Conduct external assessments, research competitors, trends, innovations and communicate the significance of strategic insights to strategy leaders and other key stakeholders as needed.
  • Execute all work leveraging technical project management methods and tools across all areas of responsibility and in support of the wider Enterprise Strategy function.  
  • Actively participate in department and cross-functional strategy meetings; be a team-player, contributing to help team solve problems as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational performance methods, technology, and tools across industries, bringing recommendations for improvement aligned to our internal needs and business opportunities.
  • Any other duties as assigned, working as part of a flexible internal consulting function working across the enterprise.

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration or similar field, with 2-3 years of analytical and/or performance data experience
  • Project Management Certification or equivalent experience highly desirable
  • Experience in healthcare or non-profit a plus 

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Analytically minded with experience using data to drive insights and decision-making
  • Ability to develop performance products including key performance indicators and their definitions, performance data inventories, scorecards and dashboards, and summary presentations
  • Ability to interpret and make decisions from data; ability to predict and request necessary data for decision making
  • Experience with data tools such as Excel, data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, and presentation tools such as PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data to wide audiences and build clear, concise presentations
  • Experience facilitating meetings of 3-50+ attendees, crossing all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated continuous learning mindset and passion for data and performance innovation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively interact with and for leadership in various areas of the organization in an objective and positive manner
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required, especially in the ability to communicate diplomatically and persuasively on complex topics
  • Strong solutions-oriented analytical, systems and presentation skills
  • Technical strength required (MS Office products, CRM products, online platforms and other database software)

SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
  • No or very limited physical effort required
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk
  • Limited travel, up to 10%

The starting rate is $61,000 to $68,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
