Manages the life cycle and event experience for a portfolio of priority distinguished events and community events with a collective fundraising target of $2 million or greater that aligns with organization priorities. Manages event execution from initiation through execution and evaluation, including project management, budget management, vendor sourcing and on-site operations. Creates a collaborative team environment with business partners to accomplish tasks with a high degree of quality. Provides guidance, resources, and support to the area team and ensures alignment with event objectives and goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Facilitates and coordinates the work of multiple projects for the implementation of best-in-class, priority events that deliver an elevated guest experience. 25%
  • Provides overall orchestration and support, including project and process management, branding, vendor sourcing, negotiation and contracting, budget management, and on-site event operations.  Identifies and works to remove barriers to successful event execution with emphasis on proactively preventing and/or resolving issues. 25%
  • Facilitates event logistics which can include run of show, day of event volunteer management, venue selection, catering, security, production, photography, auctioneer, registration and computer system. Facilitates event collateral & communications which can include program visuals and event collateral.  25%
  • Develops relationships with cross-pillar team members and field leaders to ensure all needs associated with events are met and there is effective communication and coordination. 10% 
  • Provides timely project status updates and regular progress meetings on milestones, budget and schedule, as well as risk assessments, analysis, and key deliverables. Facilitates an event execution retrospective review to identify opportunities to elevate future event experience. 10%
  • In partnership with relationship coordinators, delivers event sponsorship benefits, specifically execution of day-of sponsorship benefits and experience. 5%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and work experience required.
  • 2 years of relevant business experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams within budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Ability to strategically and tactically organize and structure activities, paying particular attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
  • Experienced in tactical and strategic project management, managing team-based activities Ability to build consensus and to work through others in achieving desired results and objectives.
  • Experienced in identifying the best vendors to work with, negotiating the best price and terms.
  • Ability to set and consistently deliver against a work plan in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, using a variety of verbal and written methods, tailored to meet business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse constituencies.
  • Knowledge of decision-making and problem-solving techniques to facilitate effective project and organizational leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies.
  • Good understanding of business and financial principles, demonstrated by experience managing budgets, schedules and resources.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited, remote supervision.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity and professional conduct.
  • Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail while maintaining a big picture focus.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance in a collaborative, consultative, and positive manner to volunteers, team members, and constituencies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ACS organization structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of full range of Microsoft Office Software and proven ability to develop expertise in systems such as Salesforce, Canva, LinkedIn, contract management and procurement tools.

  • Travel to events and related meetings

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • No specific physical requirements

The starting rate is $60,000 to $68,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
