Analyst, Data and Impact Reporting - Remote

The Data and Impact Reporting Team (DIRT) works to ensure the Patient Support Pillar is gathering and communicating data in a way that provides meaningful insight into progress against our mission to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families.

The Analyst plays a key role in providing analytical support to the team, managing intake processes and workflows, supporting the development of an integrated data infrastructure and governance plan, and supporting quality control efforts.

This position requires strong data analysis, project, and people management skills, a willingness to learn, and a desire to help ACS reduce the burden of cancer for people with cancer and their families.

***This is a remote position that can be home based anywhere in the United States.***

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans for multiple concurrent programs.

  • Cleans and applies appropriate methodological techniques for analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Builds and supports data collection instruments in platforms such as Microsoft Forms, REDCap, and Salesforce.

  • Supports preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports.

  • Leads all aspects of DIRT’s intake process, including gathering requirements, coordinating workload, and ensuring needs are met.

  • Supports the development of a standardized data dictionary for use across the Patient Support Pillar.

  • Supports data collection workflows to gather, validate, and secure approvals for key performance indicators.

  • Supports quality control efforts to identify and resolve data quality issues.

  • Supports ad hoc analysis projects as requested.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve systems, processes, and workflows.

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE   

Combinations of degree and experience will be considered in assessing successful candidates.

  • Bachelor’s degree in discipline where quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis are required professional skills.

  • Three years of professional experience working in data or business analyst roles with a focus on data analysis, requirements gathering, and solutioning.

  • One year of professional experience working in project management preferred.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE

  • Highly trained analyst with a track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects.

  • Proficient in relevant software, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Power BI, REDCap, Salesforce, Stata (or other statistical package), or MAXQDA (or other qualitative research software)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage, clean, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.

  • SQL skills and experience working in varied source database systems preferred.

  • Experience supporting data and project management in a large, multi-siloed organization preferred.

SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work is conducted within a virtual or in-person office environment.

  • No or very limited physical effort required.

  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

The starting rate is $54,000 to $68,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
