Sr Coordinator, Access to Care Solutions-Remote

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Coordinator, Access to Care Solutions provides essential program, operational, and administrative support to the Access to Care Solutions Team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of nationwide access to care initiatives—such as transportation and lodging programs—by supporting data reporting, case management, volunteer engagement, and program operations.  Working closely with team leadership, internal collaborators, and volunteers, the Senior Coordinator helps advance the American Cancer Society’s mission to reduce barriers to cancer treatment through efficient, coordinated support activities. Success in this role is demonstrated by the timely fulfillment of program needs, accurate documentation and reporting, and effective support of program execution across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure uninterrupted access to critical patient support services by efficiently coordinating logistics and resolving service delivery needs. Support program sustainability and compliance through accurate management of post-award grant and contract processes. 25%
  • Supports accurate data entry, grant tracking, and dashboard reporting in Salesforce and other systems, while collaborating with internal teams to generate reports and deliver high-quality program metrics aligned with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 20%
  • Enhance volunteer engagement and strengthen program outcomes by ensuring accurate data management and streamlined volunteer coordination, creating a more effective and consistent volunteer management experience. 20%
  • Support consistent and effective program delivery by ensuring timely preparation, customization, and distribution of materials, resources, and supplies. 15%
  • Enable successful knowledge sharing and team collaboration by ensuring smooth execution of virtual and in-person events, by providing logistical and technical support for in-person and virtual meetings contributing to more effective training, communication, and program alignment. 10%
  • Strengthen the reach and effectiveness of Access to Care initiatives by fostering alignment across enterprise teams and local offices, ensuring coordinated program delivery and efficient use of resources. 10%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Degree: Associate degree in business, public health, nonprofit administration, or related field
  • Years of Experience: 2–4 years of program or administrative support experience
  • Experience supporting programs in a healthcare, nonprofit, or service-based organization preferred
  • Supervisory or lead support experience preferred for senior coordinator roles
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM systems strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting grant- or contract-funded programs a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Experience supporting volunteers or community engagement efforts
  • Strong attention to detail and organization in managing documentation and program records
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and virtual meeting platforms
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team goals
  • Experience coordinating meetings, trainings, and program events (in-person and virtual)
  • Comfort working with diverse populations and across cross-functional teams

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel required approximately 10% or less

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Limited travel including evening work for meetings
  • Ability to lift 30lbs.

The starting rate is $22-26.75/per hour. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
