ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides guidance to support interpretation and application of all team member policy matters, consults on legal compliant and consistent people practices, facilitates state-mandated employment law training, and facilitates sponsorship through the Foreign National Program. (20%)
- Consults with leaders on Performance Improvement and Corrective Action process steps, and on preparation and delivery of formal Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Actions. (40%)
- Provides guidance and supports coordination of separation decisions; ensures consistency with performance improvement and corrective action procedures; in partnership with legal, reviews documentation and assesses risk to ensure fair and defensible separation decisions. (25%)
- Provides support for team member investigations / employee relations consultation using defined best practices to ensure consistent and timely support for team member-related issues. (15%)
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- Preferred Degree: Master's Degree in Human Resource Management
- Years of experience: 5-8 years of employee relations and/or broader HR generalist experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Courage and conviction to state critical issues and through collaborative conversation, convince leaders to make necessary decisions in the ACS’s best interest.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with staff at all levels of the organization and take a collaborative approach to problem solving and decision-making.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations and make sound judgments.
- Expertise in HR Legal Compliance including in-depth knowledge of labor and employment law.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical information in a manner easily understood by others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel (by car and/or airplane) when necessary.

The starting rate is $81,000 to $98,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
