Temporary Marketing Project Manager

The Marketing Project Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and executing integrated marketing projects, ensuring and enabling seamless collaboration across various Marketing teams, channels, and internal/external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of marketing channels and deliverables. Accountable for completing tasks and projects by delivering on time scope, schedule, budget and quality, this person enjoys learning and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and overcoming obstacles to realize project and task delivery success. Serves as a trusted adviser who can be called upon to provide support and project insight and follows standard project management methodology for project plans and execution. Is proactive and assertive, yet also understands the collaboration needed to project manage the marketing plan and motivate a team to achieve deadlines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage end-to-end Marketing Project Lifecycle (50%) - Lead multiple projects, across varying business portfolios from the initial intake and strategic planning through final implementation and debrief. Oversee the integration of marketing tactics across all channels (paid, social, email, web, etc.) for cohesive campaigns. Develop and update comprehensive project plans, outlining all tasks, timelines, budget, and resource needs. Analyze project progress and strategically adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure adherence to requirements. Incorporate quality standards throughout the project process and conduct thorough checks on deliverables to ensure high standards and strategic alignment. Facilitate project retrospective reviews, documenting key learnings and ensuring proper project close-out.
  • Manage Resources and Mitigate Risk (25%) Prioritize incoming requests in collaboration with leaders to ensure resources are managed efficiently and meet strategic objectives. Anticipate and mitigate potential project risks and bottlenecks, developing proactive contingency plans for unforeseen challenges. Ensure projects stay within established budget and timeline parameters, implementing solutions to keep work on track.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Integration & Communication (25%) Act as the main project point of contact, providing consistent status reports and updates to key internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and manage timely communication and follow-up across all internal workflow software. Own key communication devices, including status emails/meetings, quarterly toolkits, and holistic marketing project calendars.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree
  • Certificate(s) or License(s): Project Management Certification preferred
  • Years of experience: 4+ years of project management experience in a marketing department, organization, or agency

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Understanding of integrated marketing campaign execution. Including knowledge of the planning, creative, and production processes for digital, video, social, and traditional content.
  • Experience leading multi-channel initiatives, building rapport and collaborating with diverse groups aof individuals without direct supervision.
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments 
  • An effective, versatile, action-oriented individual with the ability to operate in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment, managing complex and multiple assignments 
  • High proficiency in project management tools and software and Microsoft Office suite 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires travel by air or car when necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.   
  • No or very limited physical effort required.   
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
