Sr. Compensation Analyst - Remote

Provides consultation and analytical support for a wide range of compensation programs and policies in support of ACS mission and strategy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to review, analysis and recommendation of base compensation, including salary survey submission, evaluating new jobs, assisting the talent team with job offers. Will also participate in the annual merit/incentive cycle processing.

***This is a remote position that can be home based anywhere in the United States. A minimum of 2 years of compensation analysis experience is required. Experience with Workday is highly preferred.***

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a regular point of contact and consultation on compensation issues.
  • Performs job analysis and makes appropriate job level recommendations for revised and newly created positions based on external market survey data and internal level factors.
  • Audits and maintains compensation-related data primarily via Workday/excel
  • Researches and analyzes competitive compensation practices in the job market.
  • Assists with developing job descriptions as necessary.
  • Assists and collaborates, as appropriate, in the planning, administration, and reporting of the annual merit and incentive cycle/process.
  • Interacts with survey providers and manages third party system interface processes to ensure complete and accurate data is provided and maintained for compensation reporting and analysis.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of compensation analysis experience

SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of compensation administration principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of job analysis and job evaluation principles, methods, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of organization structure, staffing patterns, and job design.
  • Knowledge of federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Workday
  • Knowledge of relational database structure and concepts.
  • Working knowledge of computerized applications and procedures as applied to compensation management.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Records maintenance skills and the ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. ·
  • Database management skills.
  • Skill in analyzing and evaluating job content and writing accurate job descriptions.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Skill in developing policy and procedure documentation. · Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • May require some travel.
  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

The starting rate is $70,000 to $80,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
