Marketing Strategy Director

As a key contributor of the Marketing Strategy & Planning Team, the Marketing Strategy Director is responsible for driving the development and execution of data-driven, audience-centric marketing strategies and integrated campaigns. This role focuses on translating audience insights into the strategic development of integrated, multichannel marketing and go-to-market plans and partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization for seamless implementation to drive business outcomes.

The job duties of this position are fluid and evolving, but generally encompass the following primary responsibilities: 

Develop Data-Driven, Audience-Centric Marketing Strategy (40%)

  • Drive the use of customer insights and data analytics to deeply understand audiences and inform all strategic planning. 
  • Lead the development of audience strategies for recruitment, retention, and re-engagement aligned with business objectives. 
  • Create audience specific marketing calendars, strategic plans, and integrated multi-channel go-to-market activations with clear objectives and KPIs. 

Guide Integrated Content & Creative Development (20%)

  • Guide the creation of impactful, audience-centric content, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with strategic plans by developing audience specific messaging and providing strategic creative briefs and well-articulated feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams to ensure the development of breakthrough, brand-aligned creative work that differentiates, resonates with audiences, and achieves measurable business outcomes.
  • Ensure all materials consistently uphold the brand voice, leverage key brand assets, and harness the verbal and visual brand identity.

Drive Marketing Execution & Performance Optimization (20%)

  • Partner with Marketing Project Managers to ensure strategies and campaigns are seamlessly executed and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with analytics and research teams to establish robust KPIs, dashboards, and real-time measurement frameworks.
  • Oversee post-activation reporting, analyze lessons learned, and ensure continuous feedback loops for strategic refinement.

Provide Marketing Leadership & Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%)

  • Serves as a marketing partner to internal business pillar partners to support the strategic direction and positioning of these areas and their leadership.
  • Collaborate effectively with marketing & communications channel leads and subject matter experts to drive
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to share learnings and make connections across teams, programs of work and audiences.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of experience: 5+ years with a record of progressively responsible positions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Expertise in building integrated marketing strategies, executing with excellence and identifying learnings for optimizations and future opportunities. 
  • Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics and market research in marketing decision-making and execution. 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments 
  • An effective, versatile, action-oriented individual with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in software including exceptional skills Microsoft Office suite

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires travel by air or car when necessary. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work typically performed indoors in a home or office environment

The starting rate is $91,500 to $105,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
