This role reports directly to the Strategic Insights Director and collaborates closely with teams in all areas of Marketing (such as Direct Marketing, Strategic Marketing and Digital Marketing), Discovery, Patient Support and Development. The ideal candidate will engage in the day-to-day analysis of data from a variety of internal and external sources, managing strategic projects that will identify key trends that will lead to areas of growth.

As part of the Insights team, this position will help drive strategic initiatives by translating stakeholder needs into research plans, ensuring the customer is at the center of decision-making. The candidate will analyze diverse datasets using platforms like MRI and Morning Consult to identify telling trends and opportunities for growth, particularly in areas such as donor conversion and geographic expansion. Additionally, they will assist in creating frameworks that drive strategic growth opportunities, with a focus on delivering value to key audiences including people who serve us and people we serve.

This position will also support the Strategic Insights Director in conducting research aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives, contributing to the generation of actionable insights and recommendations that enhance audience engagement and drive audience-centric, growth-focused decisions. Furthermore, they will work towards building and maintaining strong partnerships across various ACS teams, ensuring that insights are effectively integrated into broader strategies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, the key focus of this position is to support the execution, maintenance, integration, and insights for our ongoing customer-focused research. This includes:

  • Audience Insights:Manage in-depth, immersive audience research sessions focused on key audiences. Strategically coordinate and collaborate with key departments across each Pillar to deeply embed these audiences into daily operations and future strategies. The objective is to ensure that personas are not only understood but are actively integrated into “what’s next” initiatives, driving both current and long-term strategic planning

  • Marketing + Revenue insights:Responsible for comprehensive, immersive audience knowledge the audiences who serve us. This will involve conducting syndicated, quantitative and qualitative research to gain a deep understanding of their demographics and psychographics. The insights gathered will be instrumental in strengthening our understanding of each segment, ultimately helping to shape robust present and future strategies

  • Expert in key supporting Platforms:Act as the primary expert in utilizing software tools such as MRI and Morning Consult to extract actionable data insights that support key strategic initiatives defined by upper management. Additionally, expertly manage survey-based platforms, including Quantilope and Qualtrics, to conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research projects, ensuring effective execution and impactful results

  • Strategic Research Activation: Develop, conduct, analyze, report, and activate research throughout the organization.  Gain empathetic insights from audiences through contextual methodologies such as one-on-one interviews, online boards, focus groups, co-creation events and surveys.  Always seeking out innovative research methodologies.

  • Insights to drive impact:  Maximize customer and audience insights to develop data-driven recommendations that guide senior ACS leadership in making impactful business decisions. Effectively disseminate through reports and live presentations insights across the organization to drive alignment and foster progress toward organizational objectives.

  • Data Expertise:  Leverage subject matter expertise to ensure all data measurement is completed with the highest quality and validity, meticulously overseeing and validating processes to guarantee that the data is applicable, appropriate, and aligns with the strategic goals and operational needs of the organization.

  • Inclusive Research:  Address all work and interactions with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Build market research through an inclusive lens, ensuring diverse perspectives and fostering partnerships with diverse research suppliers.

  • Strategic Consultation:  Partner and collaborate with business owners on ad-hoc requests for historical and/or custom research studies and/or data pulls.

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE

  • 5+ years hands-on market research, human centered research to unearth functional, social, and emotional needs.   Extensive hands-on experience using syndicated tools such as MRI and Morning Consult, as well as market research techniques (focus groups, interviews, online surveys, etc.), survey design, sampling plans, analysis, discussion guide creation, qualitative and quantitative research data analysis, and data visualization.

  • Exceptional critical thinking: Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in synthesizing and summarizing complex data into clear, actionable insights delivering clear recommendations that drive strategic decision-making and create significant impact.  Committed to a customer-centric approach, leveraging data to create compelling narratives that drive decision-making.

  • Strong communication skills: Demonstrates excellence in both written and verbal communication, effectively conveying complex ideas in a concise and impactful manner, with the ability to adapt communication styles to various audiences

  • Equity-driven research: Integrate and drive principles of equity into all research processes, ensuring inclusive insights that reflect diverse customer perspectives and experiences.

Specialized Training or Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Syndicated Research Platforms such as Qualtrics, Quantilope, MRI, Morning Consult

  • Survey Platforms such as Qualtrics and Quantilope

  • Experience with Visualization tools such as PowerBI preferred

SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Travel will be limited (5% or less)

The starting rate is $69,000 to $85,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
