Every team member at the American Cancer Society is improving the lives of people with cancer and their families, every day. As a leading cancer-fighting organization, our career opportunities are as diverse as our people and include every discipline found in other business enterprises. What sets us apart is that the work we do has a global impact. We touch more than 55 million lives each year – and every passionate, dedicated American Cancer Society team member contributes to each groundbreaking achievement we make.
Individually, we are different people performing different actions. Collectively, we are a united force with the power to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
Who We Are
What Sets Us Apart
We are as dedicated to our team as we are to our mission. Part of that dedication includes providing our staff members with competitive benefit options to promote good health, financial security, work life balance, and peace of mind.
At the heart of our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is the belief that we can better position ourselves to end cancer as we know it, for everyone by attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse team of employees unified in their dedication to ensuring everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
We seek out and celebrate employees from different cultures, experiences, and geographies, ensuring we secure, develop, and retain top talent in an increasingly diverse, multicultural, and competitive labor force. The greater the diversity of our people, the better we can serve and positively impact our communities. That is how we define success.
In 1913, the American Cancer Society was founded by volunteers. Today, volunteers remain at the heart of our mission, driving our organization forward in everything that we do. Your unique talents can make a real difference for people in your local community or people thousands of miles away. You can choose from volunteer positions that match your interests, offer flexible scheduling, and allow you to learn new skills. Join us and help end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
We are improving the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
