Senior Director, Corporate Relations

Leads execution against the Society's strategy for corporate partnerships and account management, including the pursuit of new opportunities, managing and cultivating existing relationships, implementation of corporate initiatives and driving account engagement to achieve ACS mission priorities and significant income targets. Ensures engagement and mobilization of diverse partners, constituents, and volunteers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Asa key member of an area leadership team, builds andexecutesa corporaterevenue growth,targeting Fortune 1000 companies and top regional employers to acceleratemulti-million dollarincome generation and advance mission priorities.25%

  • Recruitsandengagesexecutive leadership, building and sustaining C-suite relationships to secure high-level commitments and long-term support.Provides leadership for a CEOs Against Cancer® (CAC) chapter, achieving high recruiting levels and member retention rates, and delivering against the CAC strategy by meeting/exceeding recruiting and revenue goals. 20%

  • Applies proven sales methodologies toidentify, cultivate, and secure new revenue streams through strategic corporate partnerships. Manages and grows external relationships with key corporate stakeholders, ensuring consistent engagement, satisfaction, and partnership expansion.20%

  • Manages, coaches, develops, and trains a team of 3-5 corporate account relations and account operationsstaffeach responsible for a substantial account and revenueportfolios15%

  • Collaborates cross-functionally across organizational pillars to align corporate initiatives with strategic priorities and maximize partnership value.Engages with the area lead and region executive vice president stewarding the highest priority asks and relationships10%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience, plus a preferred 7 years successful experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, and executive relationship development with distinguished partners, preferably with a multi-million dollar organization and 3 to 5 years of staff management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: 

  • Leadswith a growth mindset,setting and achieving ambitious year-over-year revenue goals.

  • Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies that drive significant revenue growth across multiple channels.

  • Significantexpertiseand experiencein building andmaintaininglong-term relationshipswithcorporate partners, with a focus on donor engagement and retention

  • Proventrack recordsecuring 6 and 7 figure corporate relationships

  • Demonstrates strong sales skills and proventrack recordinidentifyingand securing new revenue opportunities

  • Skilled inleveragingboard members and volunteers as fundraising ambassadors and partners in donor outreach.

  • Outcome driven withabilityto respond to changing circumstances and priorities. 

  • Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and motivating high-performing development teams to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.

  • Delivers compelling communication with exceptional ability to engage and influence executive level stakeholders

  • Proficient in using donor data and analytics to inform strategy, track performance, andoptimizefundraising efforts.

  • Exhibitsdemonstratedability to collaborate effectively across organizational pillars and departments

  • Applies expert-level skills in managing complex external relationships and stakeholder engagement

  • Maintains market influence and reputation within the corporate philanthropy sector

  • Leverages deep missionexpertise and ability to articulate ACS impact and strategic priorities

  • Provides strong market,community and constituent perspective

  • Commands broad knowledge of the overall structure, programs, and services of the American Cancer Society including policies and procedures

  • Demonstratesproficiency in computer-based information systems

  • Exhibits excellent project management,strategicplanning, andorganizationskills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Limited overnight travel within the area and to region/enterprise meetings and events

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expectation to be external in market, 3 days per week average

  • No specific physical requirements

The starting rate is $125,000 to $135,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
