Inbound Special Project Ambassador

This project-based role will help build and strengthen long term donor dedication, enhance relationships, and increase knowledge about the American Cancer Society by answering incoming calls from our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) event support line and conducting outbound Donor Stewardship calls.

• Confidently answer incoming calls for the MSABC event support line.
• Successfully provide excellent constituent service by remaining professional, providing            requested information, and by being appreciative and/or empathetic during the phone call.
• Effectively register constituents on the MSABC event site.
• Accurately enter constituent data.
• Effectively multi-task and switch between multiple websites.
• Transfer constituents with cancer related questions to the American Cancer Society Cancer Helpline.
• Effectively communicate through thank you calls.
• Accurately process credit cards on a secure site as needed.
• Achieve and maintain established ACS NDSTC quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain excellent attendance and schedule adherence.

Position Requirements:
• Reading, writing, and entry level computer skills normally acquired through a high school education or previous work experience.

• Ability to communicate the American Cancer Society’s mission over the phone in a compelling manner.  
• Possesses excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to resolve/defuse ACS Constituent concerns
• Ability to think critically
• Possess excellent active listening skills
• Receptive and responsive to continuous feedback
• Actively listen and provide appropriate responses
• Be conversational and able to build rapport quickly while being enthusiastic and excited about supporting the ACS mission.
• Ability to convey empathy
• Team player
• Positive attitude
• Ability to quickly adapt to change
• Ability to use multiple software applications simultaneously
• The ability to be self-motivated and work in a team
• Able to remain focused in a fast pace, multi-faceted environment

• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Call Center experience preferred
