Digital Analytics Tagging Specialist - Remote

The Digital Analytics Tagging Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing digital tagging for data capture to track digital marketing efforts to determine mission, brand, revenue and campaign effectiveness, primarily focused on our web-based products. This includes but is not limited to 3rd party tags management, implementation, integration & custom tag development, Google Tag Management (GTM), Google Universal Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and other tools used for media and analytical purposes.

This role will oversee the continued enhancement, design, and delivery of analytics tagging and tracking across our web and donation platforms, supporting advanced data capture capabilities to support digital analytics initiatives. Provides understanding of measurement best practices to support analysis of visitor flows, conversion funnels, and experience optimization.

This role sits within the Digital Marketing & Revenue Operations team reporting to the Sr Analytics Manager while also supporting the Director of Digital Projects & Portfolio Management.

Analytics & Insights

  • Responsible for implementing digital tagging for data capture to track digital marketing efforts to determine brand and campaign effectiveness
  • Develop and modify JavaScript code to execute web analytics best practices
  • Validate and debug implementations using GTM debugger
  • QA implementation of new pixels to ensure they are working properly and work with requesting agencies to ensure pixels are firing
  • Document and measure management platform to keep track of filters, configurations, integrations, and properties
  • Validate and debug tags on a regular basis; remove outdated tags regularly
  • Collaborate with web analysts, agencies, and business/marketing partners to ensure implementation requirements were met
  • Demonstrate an understanding, and proactivity in seeking new & innovative solutions for implementing code to capture the desired metrics and solve business problems
  • Develop governance processes for tag manager including but not limited to tag approvals, audits and releases
  • Diagnose issues with existing platform configurations and tags, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Identify when IT involvement is necessary for tag/pixel implementation outside of scope for Tag Manager
  • Assists with the creation, execution and analysis of digital marketing campaigns via dashboard development and insights gathering   
  • Keep up to date with competitor information, tools, best practices and market trends; identifying business opportunities for organization

 Project Management

  • Partner with stakeholders to implement analytics requirements and streamline project processes.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects/requests; provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with digital analysts, marketing managers, data engineers, encouraging collaboration and driving projects forward to achieve goals
  • Gather stakeholder requirements, develop opportunity sizings and business cases, write technical or functional specs when necessary
  • Develops timeline, sets and communicates deadlines for key tasks assigned
  • Represents the project at meetings, scrum standup calls and/or in group discussions as requested.
  • Monitors and manages timely communication response and follow-up in our workflow tool (Monday), the centralized team communication, Azure dev ops and collaboration system or other internal Web-based software.
  • Uses change control procedures to effectively protect and manage the scope of the project or task
  • Ensures quality of relevant deliverables and stage gate requirements
  • Ensures proper task and project close-out.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties and assists on special projects as assigned
  • Works closely with the Director of Projects and Portfolio Management on all releases

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 2+ years web tag management or related role in an in-house or agency environment.
  • 2+ years of experience using GTM and have implemented event tracking, enhanced ecommerce conversion pixels, etc.
  •  Hands-on development experience using HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, and XML
  • Mobile app tracking, experience with Firebase is a plus
  • Fluent in 1 or more debugger tools
  • Highly analytical qualities with strong technical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous digital marketing, Azure Dev ops, Jira and analytics experience is a plus
  • 2+ years Experience with Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI Salesforce experience preferred

The compensation range established for this position begins at a minimum of $47,800 annually.* Actual starting pay may differ based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education. *This rate is specific to Colorado.
